I have recently evaluated Bean Box for my video series called Targeted, where I assess products specifically aimed at me through internet advertisements. Bean Box perfectly aligns with this concept, as I have come across numerous ads of theirs during my online browsing. Moreover, I had the fortunate opportunity to receive some products from them as a gift to try out.

What is Bean Box?

Bean Box, headquartered in Seattle, Washington, is a coffee delivery and subscription service that specializes in curating high-quality coffee beans from around the world. They offer curated sampler boxes and regular-sized bags of beans.

For those who enjoy trying different flavors, Bean Box provides monthly tasting boxes with small sample bags that are carefully selected by coffee experts. Alternatively, you can opt for a subscription that delivers a 12-ounce bag of coffee on a monthly, biweekly, or weekly basis, depending on your preference. These subscriptions include complimentary shipping.

If you prefer to purchase single, full-sized bags without a subscription, Bean Box offers that option as well. However, please note that shipping is not included in this case. Additionally, Bean Box has a range of gift options available for those looking to share the joy of coffee with others.

In addition to their regular offerings, Bean Box also provides two cold brew options. These come in 1.5-liter vacuum-packed boxes, ensuring freshness and convenience.

Bean Box Review

Is Bean Box a worthwhile investment? I dedicated a week to thoroughly examining their products, considering their design, functionality, and overall value. Typically, I purchase the items I review, but in this instance, I was kindly given a four-pack sampler of whole coffee beans and both types of cold brew. Regardless of whether it was a freebie or not, I always provide an honest evaluation of the product in my reviews.

Form

The packaging of this product prioritizes both aesthetics and functionality. The clear labeling on each bag of beans provides valuable information about the coffee's origin and includes tasting notes. Additionally, the visual guide indicating the roast level is a helpful tool for coffee enthusiasts to explore their preferences. As I continue to use this product, I anticipate refining my taste for specific roast ranges. Moreover, the resealable bags effectively preserve the freshness of the coffee.

The packaging of the cold brew boxes is also commendable. The compact size of the boxes allows for convenient storage in the refrigerator. Furthermore, the pop-out nozzle facilitates quick and clean pouring of the brew. The vacuum packing of the coffee ensures its longevity and freshness.

Value

Coffee Bean Subscription

I have a deep appreciation for the taste of coffee. It is truly delicious. However, I often find myself questioning whether it is worth the cost. This is a difficult question for me to answer! I tend to be frugal when it comes to certain things; I am aware that we can make a decent cup of coffee for about $0.20 by purchasing beans in bulk from Costco. On the other hand, Bean Box charges approximately $1.00 per cup, brewed from their beans, which is five times the price. The price difference, in terms of percentage, is quite significant and hard to accept.

Nevertheless, the quality of Bean Box coffee is undeniably superior. When you purchase their product, you are not only paying for the coffee itself, but also for the careful selection, expertise, and shipping involved in delivering a high-quality product. When you consider the intricate and specialized process of selecting, drying, roasting, and shipping coffee beans from all around the world, it becomes clear that coffee should not necessarily be cheap. All things considered, paying $1.00 for a great cup of coffee is still an incredibly affordable luxury. It certainly surpasses the cost of buying coffee from a mass-market chain.

In the case of a Bean Box coffee bean subscription, I believe it is worth the investment, especially if you appreciate exceptional coffee and want to explore the various available varieties. It could be a monthly indulgence or even a weekly subscription to help you break your habit of visiting coffee shops. Either way, Bean Box offers a wide range of options that cater to coffee enthusiasts without causing financial strain.

Cold Brew

The cold brew is a different story altogether. Let me emphasize once again how much I enjoy this coffee. It is truly exceptional. However, the price of approximately $3.50 for an eight ounce serving is just a tad too expensive for me to have it regularly stocked in my refrigerator.

Nevertheless, I will certainly indulge in Bean Box cold brew for special occasions such as parties or when I have guests over. Additionally, I believe a box of Bean Box cold brew will occasionally find its way into my camping cooler – it's incredibly convenient and the perfect size for our RV adventures.

However, for individuals who frequently purchase cold brew from a coffee chain, this is an incredible deal. It is priced similarly (and delivered!) to a mass market coffee shop, yet offers a much more delightful cup of coffee. Trust me, I've had my fair share of mediocre chain cold brews, and Bean Box's product surpasses them by leaps and bounds. If you're already spending this amount of money on a daily basis, it's worth investing in a high-quality beverage that doesn't require you to wait in line.

Bean Box: The Bottom Line

Bean Box is undeniably a remarkable investment, offering both exceptional quality and great value. The concept of a coffee subscription box is truly captivating as it allows you to explore the flavors of the world. Moreover, the format of the box provides an opportunity to delve deeper into your preferences and discover the intricacies of this multifaceted product. The cold brew offered by Bean Box is simply divine, although it may be a tad expensive for everyday indulgence, it remains a worthwhile purchase for those who frequently buy coffee outside.

Furthermore, it serves as an affordable luxury, allowing you to pamper yourself on special occasions. Additionally, when considering gifts, Bean Box should not be overlooked. The gift subscriptions they offer are truly exceptional, with a three-month subscription costing less than a bouquet of flowers and providing lasting enjoyment.
