There is a lot of discussion regarding how can I know who see Whatsapp DP.
Many third-party apps profess to have this feature. And many people (like me) believe it's all a hoax.
I tested four of these apps today to see if any of them worked. You can read about my not-so-surprising discoveries below.
How to know who is checking my Whatsapp status or profile?
Unfortunately, you can't see who has looked at your WhatsApp profile. WhatsApp does not have a function that allows you to see who has viewed your profile. You can, however, manage who sees your WhatsApp profile.
You have control over who sees your "last seen," "profile photo," "about details," and "WhatsApp status."
You can customize your "last seen," "profile photo," and "about details" to:
○ My Contacts
○ Everyone
○ Nobody
Go to More choices > Settings > Account > Privacy to alter your WhatsApp privacy settings. You can modify your WhatsApp viewing options here at your convenience.
If you're concerned that someone is tracking your profile, simply change these settings to "nobody" or "my contacts." Let's just hope you don't have any stalkers in your contacts.
Please be aware that if you set your last seen to "Nobody," you will not be able to see anyone else's last seen!
If you came on this page looking for a means to see if your ex has been looking at your WhatsApp profile, I'm afraid there isn't one.
But don't give up just yet! There is still a technique for how can I know who see my Whatsapp DP.
I'm sure you're aware that WhatsApp, like Instagram and Facebook, has a Status feature. WhatsApp features a whole tab dedicated to status updates.
If you didn't already know, you could see who checks your WhatsApp status, which is a terrific technique to find out whether someone is stalking you on WhatsApp (keep reading for more details).
Even though there is no way to know who visited your WhatsApp profile, many third-party programs claim to be able to show you who viewed your WhatsApp profile.
How can I know who see my Whatsapp DP?
Before I show you the apps that claim to allow you to see your WhatsApp profile viewers, you need to understand the following:
These applications, in my opinion, are fake. Some of them just give you names from your contacts at random. A third-party program would only be able to tell if someone viewed your WhatsApp if they hacked into WhatsApp's database, which would result in you being banned from WhatsApp's services, which is not an easy thing to achieve!
Although, there is no simple way to know who has visited your WhatsApp profile, the applications listed below could be used as a joke.
Moving on, let's look at three Android apps that claim to show you who has viewed your WhatsApp profile.
1. Whatsapp – Who Viewed Me
WhatsApp – Who Viewed Me is the first app on this list. This software isn't available on the Google Play store because they frown on programs like this. However, it is available for download through ROiDhub.
I'm sure you can detect how phony this software is just by looking at it:

This already screams "SCAM" to me. However, the moment you activate the app, it requests permission to:
○ Calling and managing phone calls
○ Obtain access to your contacts
○ Obtain access to your location
Now, if you're going to use this app even as a joke, I advise you to disable access to phone calls and location because an app as shady as this shouldn't be allowed to make phone calls or know where you live!
Once the program is up and running, you may encounter an error stating that "the app was designed for an older Android version." This indicates that the app has not been maintained.
When you hit the "Scan" button, the software displays names from your contacts at random. Unfortunately, it's nothing more than a glorified dice throw.
2. Whats Tracker
The following application is a little more recent. According to my observations, the Whats Tracker first appeared at the end of 2017. For obvious reasons, this app is not available on the Google Play Store, but it is available on APKMonk.
One thing I found amusing is that the download page claims "for Android 16 and Above." If you are even slightly into Android operating system, you know that the most recent version is Android 10.
To its fair, this app appears to be more convincing than WhatsApp – Who Viewed Me. It requests the same permissions as the last app. If you're going to test it out on your own, make sure to disable access to phone calls and your location!
You can provide the app access to your contacts because it will not function without them. Instead of displaying a few random contacts (like WhatsApp – Who Viewed Me), the Whats Tracker app displays a complete list of contacts. It even blurs out a few of them and requests for money.
Another thing you'll notice is that the app has three separate tabs.
○ Contacts
○ Visitor
○ Visited
I'm not clear what the terms visited and visitor means. Is it the ones that came to see me? Or was it the ones I visited?
However, after giving it a thought, I concluded that visitor refers to those who have visited me. And people I saw are referred to as "visited."
It doesn't matter in the end because they are all random persons chosen by the app from my contacts.
3. Who Viewed My Profile – Whatsapp
"Who viewed my profile – WhatsApp" is the third and final software that claims to tell you who viewed your WhatsApp profile. This was the worst of the bunch.
As soon as you open it, it requests the following permissions:
1. Contacts can be accessed
2. Use your device to access images, media, and files.
3. Calling and managing phone calls
4. Obtain access to your location
Except for contacts, I've now banned access to all of these options. And if you intend to use this program, you should do the same. To be on the safe side.
When launched, the app displayed a familiar message stating that it was designed for an older version of Android.
When you launch the app, you will have to enter your phone number and name. I entered my information (which I do not recommend you do) and then pressed the Register button. Regrettably, the app was unresponsive. I tried several times but was not successful.
I am not sure if this is because I disallowed the app access to my phone's storage or if the app was simply not designed for Android 10.
How to know who is checking my Whatsapp on my iPhone?
1. WRevealer
WRevealer is the only app that stuck out to me on iOS. Unfortunately, I believe that support for this app has been discontinued. According to WRevealer's Twitter profile, their most recent tweet was on May 28, 2017.
WRevealer, according to what I discovered, used to work solely on jailbroken iPhones. There were many claims made about this iOS app, with individuals claiming that it genuinely functioned.
Unfortunately, after some investigation, I discovered that the program only shows you other WhatsApp contacts online, not people who have visited your WhatsApp.
The app was supported until iOS 10, after which it appears that development was halted.
I performed some additional research and discovered that Rami Moghrabi of Lebanon created WRevealer. And he's currently working on a new project. However, I was unable to locate a valid download link for WRevealer.
How to check who viewed your Whatsapp Status?
Checking to check who has viewed your WhatsApp status is a simple process.
Please keep in mind that you must first post a WhatsApp status to see who has viewed it.
Simply follow these steps:
1. Launch WhatsApp.
2. Navigate to the Status tab.
3. Select your WhatsApp status.
4. At the bottom center of your screen, tap the eye icon.
5. WhatsApp will now notify you of who has viewed your WhatsApp Status.
FAQs
1. Will they know if I check their Last Seen on WhatsApp?
There is no option for someone to know whether you have checked their last seen on WhatsApp.
2. Can I view someone else's WhatsApp status without their knowledge?
You cannot do so. When you open someone's WhatsApp status, they may simply tell if you've seen it.
3. Can You Limit Who Can Follow You on WhatsApp?
No (unless you've already blocked them). Anyone with your phone number can quickly reach you via WhatsApp.
