Which Item Was Invented by a Secretary and Later Sold for $47 Million Dollars?

Correction fluid Liquid Paper was created by a secretary and eventually sold for $47 million. Betty Nesmith Graham, a typist from the United States, created Liquid Paper.

Betty Graham was born on March 23, 1924. Betty had been using her white correction paint to make minor adjustments for the previous five years. She was doing so with the assistance of her son's chemistry instructor at Dallas' Thomas Jefferson High School.

Some of her supervisors were harshly critical of her use of it. Coworkers, on the other hand, frequently wished her agony to be relieved.

She finally called and began marketing her typewriter correction solution "Mistake Out" in 1956. When she launched her new firm, she changed the name to "Liquid Paper."

The Birth of Liquid Paper

Graham, like other women, worked as a secretary in the 1950s. She worked as a Typist, although she wasn't very good at it. She was notorious for making typos while typing.

As a result, she began doing numerous experiments to conceal the faults and blunders. In her kitchen blender, she began blending materials such as white tempera water-based paint.

She used a tiny paintbrush to apply the concoction to her errors. She continued to promote her typewriter correction solution, "Mistake Out." The name was then changed to Liquid Paper.

Liquid Paper and 47 million dollars

The Gillette Corporation paid $47. 5 million for her Liquid Paper in 1979.

Then her son, Michael Nesmith, rose to popularity as a member of the Monkees rock band. Nesmith Graham died on May 12, 1980, but her Liquid Paper became famous across the world. To summarize, a sloppy typist created Liquid Paper to correct the world's errors.
