I’ve always been a fan of Marc Jacobs fashion and fragrances. Although the fragrances are all different, they give me the same feeling as the fashion, being young and carefree. The flawlessly named Perfect Eau de Parfum is a warm, light floral fragrance that is my go-to type of scent. Read on for my review of Marc Jacobs Perfect Eau de Parfum.
Perfect by Marc Jacobs comes in a clear curved glass bottle that shows off the blush pink perfume. The cap of the bottle is my favorite part of the packaging, featuring a blue bow with various charms attached to it. It’s very Marc Jacobs, simultaneously playful, edgy, and feminine. It reminds me of when I fell in love with the brand during high school.
The fragrance was inspired by the idea that we’re all perfect, just the way we are. I love learning about the story behind how a product came about and this one is very significant being that Marc Jacobs has a tattoo that says “perfect” in a very similar font as the one used on the bottle. According to the product page, “This scent was inspired by Marc Jacobs’s mantra: ‘I am perfect as I am,’ which is symbolized by a tattoo of the word ‘perfect’ on his wrist.” I love the inspiration behind the fragrance and I love the scent even more.
I usually don’t go for floral scents as they can lean more mature but this blend of rhubarb, daffodil, almond milk, and cashmeran work together to create something vibrant and comforting. I’m also a big fan of cedar wood, so it makes sense that it is a base note in Perfect.
Perfect Eau de Parfum was released in the Fall of 2020 but I wouldn’t consider this a seasonal scent. Since it’s on the lighter side, it’s perfect for working from home and has become my go-to scent for everyday wear. If you’re looking for a light scent that won’t give you migraine, you may like this one.
If you’re looking for something more intense with serious lasting power, this may not be for you. However, it does come in a body cleanser and lotion, so layering may help it stay longer.
If you love scents that start off bright and mellow out to something warm and cozy, you will love Perfect by Marc Jacobs. I tend to go for light, airy scents with warm undertones like Viva La Juicy by Juicy Couture and Gypsy Water by Byredo. If you like those, you may like this one.

Overall, I love the light warm floral scent of Marc Jacobs Perfect Eau de Parfum for everyday. It’s a quick mood booster that’s not too intense. It’s an extremely wearable scent, packaged in a playful bottle that would make a great gift.
