Stuart Weitzman Over-the-Knee Boots Review

The Stuart Weitzman over-the-knee boots in my possession hold a special place within my wardrobe due to the fact that they were my initial foray into the realm of luxury purchases. Acquired second-hand in preparation for an autumn excursion five years ago, these boots have remained a staple, consistently finding their way to the forefront of my clothing collection as the weather transitions to cooler temperatures.

Throughout the years, Stuart Weitzman has undeniably become synonymous with the concept of over-the-knee boots. Their offerings encompass a wide array of colors, heel heights, and silhouettes, with the only drawback being the accompanying price tag.

Consequently, I am compelled to present an authentic review of my Stuart Weitzman Lowland boots, shedding light on their comfort, sizing, advantages, disadvantages, and even providing outfit ideas incorporating these remarkable over-the-knee boots.

Are the Stuart Weitzman Over-the-Knee Boots Worth It?

When purchasing my OTK boots, I sought a timeless design that would contour my athletic calves and remain secure. Despite my desire for a sleek appearance, I was unable to achieve this with lower-priced options and thus opted for Stuart Weitzman's Lowland boots, which offered a comfortable and walkable heel. After wearing them regularly throughout the fall and winter, I can confidently say that they are worth the investment.

The boots fit impeccably, are surprisingly warm, and boast a luxurious suede texture. Additionally, they never slip down when worn over clothing or bare skin, and the design flatters and elongates the legs more than other, less expensive alternatives. In my opinion, Stuart Weitzman produces the finest OTK boots on the market, and I am so pleased with my chocolate brown Lowland boots that I am considering purchasing a black pair.

Stuart Weitzman OTK Boot Sizing

Stuart Weitzman provides a range of options for their over-the-knee boots, including half sizes and three different widths. If you have petite or thin calves, you may want to consider the narrow version. On the other hand, if you have an athletic lower body, the wide version might be more suitable for you.

To ensure the perfect fit, I suggest trying the boots on in person if possible. Alternatively, you can purchase them from a retailer with a flexible return policy, such as Nordstrom. This way, you can easily exchange or return them if they don't meet your expectations.

Stuart Weitzman Shaft Fit

The Stuart Weitzman over-the-knee boots feature a narrow shaft, irrespective of the width you choose, yet it does not compromise on comfort. The supple suede material is designed to provide a snug fit, ensuring the boots remain securely in place, accommodating various calf sizes.

Whether worn over jeans or bare legs, these medium-width boots effortlessly stay up, offering a flawless and snug fit without any discomfort.

Are Stuart Weitzman Over-the-Knee Boots Comfortable?

The SW boots are not only stylish but also incredibly comfortable. I have personally walked several miles in them without any discomfort. The footbed is made of leather and has a cushion at the heel, providing excellent support. The interior of the shoe is lined with a satin-like material, making them easy to slip on and off. To put them on, I simply fold the shaft down to the foot of the boot, slide my feet in or out, and then roll the shaft up. If you purchase a new pair, it's important to note that the shaft may require a break-in period. I suggest wearing them around the house over denim to help them conform to your legs.

Do Stuart Weitzman Boots Slide Down?

The ties of these boots must be secured in order to prevent any movement, as the design of the shaft and ties is impeccable. Personally, I prefer to tie the adjustable ties in a knot and then add a bow for a touch of elegance. Additionally, these boots do not stretch over time, ensuring a comfortable fit every time.

How to Wear Stuart Weitzman Over-the-Knee Boots

I have an extensive blog post detailing the art of donning OTK boots; nevertheless, here are several techniques to fashion Stuart Weitzman OTK boots:

  • Pair them with your beloved floral summer mini dress during the onset of autumn.
  • Combine them with a plaid blazer, a mini skirt, and tights as the mercury descends.
  • Layer them over skinny jeans or leather leggings, accompanied by a striking sweater.
  • Adorn them with a lightweight white sweater and white jeans during the early days of spring.

Stuart Wetizman OTK Boot Product Details

Here are the key features and pros/cons of the Stuart Weitzman Lowland over-the-knee boots:

The Lowland boots are one of Stuart Weitzman’s most recognized styles. They feature an almond toe and a stretch suede upper, allowing for a comfortable and adjustable fit with the leather ties. The boots have a low block heel and the shaft is lined with a satin-like material, adding a touch of elegance to the design.

These boots are available in a variety of colors, including black suede, black leather, taupe, flannel, walnut brown, and camel. This wide range of options allows for versatility in styling and matching with different outfits.

When it comes to fit, the Lowland boots cater to various preferences. They are available in half sizes and come in narrow, medium, and wide widths, ensuring a better fit for different foot sizes and shapes.

In terms of quality, these boots are exceptional. The high-quality materials used, combined with the stretchy fabric upper, contribute to their durability and comfort. The boots are designed to provide a comfortable and secure fit, making them suitable for extended wear.

However, it is important to note that these boots come with a higher price tag. Priced between $798 and $950, they may not be affordable for everyone. Despite this, the quality and versatility of the boots make them a worthwhile investment for those willing to splurge on a high-end footwear option.

To maintain the boots' appearance and prolong their lifespan, it is recommended to treat them with suede protectant spray at least once per year. Additionally, storing them in a dust bag when not in use will help protect them from dust and damage.

Overall, the Stuart Weitzman Lowland over-the-knee boots offer exceptional style, comfort, and quality. While they may come with a higher price, their versatility and durability make them a desirable choice for those seeking a fashionable and long-lasting footwear option.
