Veronica Beard is a designer I’ve more recently learned about and have been admiring from afar. The brand feels feminine with a bit of boho and structure to it. I feel like it sort of embodies my personal style to a T.

Founded by two women named Veronica, this east coast meets west coast brand can take you from the office to the weekend from their classic blazers, perfectly fitting jeans and an array of dresses and blouses. Did I mention shoes? These clogs are my first Veronica Beard purchase. So good.

However, Veronica Beard is better known for their dickey jackets, that’s a jacket that you can zip a dickey into. They’re kind of genius in that they don’t add any bulk and allow you to have a layered look to perfection.

It’s my biggest gripe with layering is that you get so bulky looking. But having interchangeable dickies to add to your blazers and jackets makes it effortless.

While this is a staple in their collection, I personally own the Pyle dickey blazer. I have to be honest, it is well out of my price point. However, with many sales, and second-hand shopping like eBay or Poshmark, I’m keeping an eye on more styles at a discount to add to my closet. But I can tell you that the price point is there for a reason.

These blazers are beautifully made, tailored to perfection, and are beyond versatile and classic. It’s an investment for sure. But one thing I am learning about shopping and my own personal style and closet is that investing in pieces I truly love and know I’ll wear a ton, are 100% worth it.

Veronica Beard Blazer Sizing

The blazer that I’m wearing is the Pyle Dickey blazer and it is my first ever Veronica Beard blazer. And let me tell you, I love it for so many reasons. But first, let’s chat about sizing.

I’m typically a size 4 in most suit separates and found the 4 in Veronica Beard to be perfect. So for me, I found it fits true to size. It didn’t feel snug or like I couldn’t wear a thicker sweater under it. It truly is a perfectly tailored fit. I also have a bigger chest and found this to not be an issue in this brand and style.

Pyle Dickey Blazer

What I love about the Pyle blazer is that it’s double breasted. I’m not sure what it is about that, but it gives such a nice look to the shape when it’s open. The houndstooth wool blend fabric is what also sold me on it.

It’s perfect for fall and winter and has shades of blue and brown throughout. And even has a bit of a green hint to it. It goes with all my earthy tone items in my closet. But it also works with black which makes it beyond versatile.

Classic Dickey Jacket

For a more modern blazer, I’d suggest the classic dickey jacket. It’s perfectly tailored for a feminine look and feel. Plus it has a double vent, which I personally love. I think it’s so flattering. This is a great starting point in the brand too as they’re a little less pricey than the more fashion forward blazers.

Miller Dickey Jacket

This is a timeliness classic with gorgeous decorative gold buttons. It has slim tailoring which makes it super flattering. You can also make a complete suit with the Renzo matching pants.

DICKIES TO PAIR WITH YOUR BLAZERS

I have not tried a dickie to pair with my blazer but I am definitely tempted! I think this goes best with a single breasted blazer versus a double one. But they work on both either way. I love the idea of a hoodie paired with a blazer, or even the denim jacket dickie. Absolutely pure genius.

HOW I’M STYLING MY VERONICA BEARD BLAZER

As with any blazer, I find them to be perfect with so many basics in my closet. I love a good pair of denim paired with a blazer and heels. It’s such a easy and effortless outfit that is put-together and elevated. Takes minimal effort!

I paired this Veronica Beard blazer with these J.Crew kick crop jeans which I just love. The black wash of them is perfect. Add classic black heels and you’re good to go.
